Jiaogulan Herbal Tea

Jiaogulan originated in China. Chinese immigrants brought the plant to the hills of northern Thailand and quickly discovered that the clean water and rich highland soil produced a superior tasting leaf. Our Jiaogulan was voted the best tasting tea in Thailand in 2002 by Thailand's Ministry of Health. The flavor of is slightly sweet with spicy overtones. It is 100% caffeine free.

In addition to its great taste, Jiaogulan is revered for its many health promoting properties.

Quality and Freshness

We pick our gourmet tea when the growth is still young and we get several pickings each season. Since Jiaogulan is a small vine or ground cover we're able to grow it in green houses using sustainable agriculture. We immediately pan dry the leaves to stop the oxidation process. We roll the leaves in clusters to help preserve the whole leaves during final drying. The result is a large number of whole leaves and unprecedented freshness.
